ABOUT

I had the great fortune to start the earliest parts of my life in a communal Christian environment. Growing up this way as a child of a single mother to three children, I saw first hand the struggle of adults navigating power dynamics within the church and within smaller church groups. I noticed that adults had a tough time seeing the manipulation and duplicity that was so clear to me even as a small child. In spite of or maybe because of this I found myself on a path that connected me to a series of power struggles with narcissists first at work and later in romantic and family dynamics.

I had that feeling of "having magnets in your pockets" for these kinds of people.

Eventually I felt stuck and wanted to break free of this cycle. When I finally broke free I saw that many women were experiencing the very same thing. I no longer felt weird or weak. I saw that hundreds of thousands of others were hiding the truth from their friends and family and taking on the burden of the dysfunction in these relationships because they felt it was something they caused or bought into the narcissists plea that "they deserved it" and that they were "unlovable."

I was determined to start a podcast about this topic because at the time there was very little information about the dynamics I and so many other women I was meeting in groups and casually on the street were going through. I couldn't find any conversations about this and how people managed, how they got OUT, and how they learned to live again and heal all the deep wounds.

The truth is that these wounds take time to heal and it IS WORK. Lots of intentional work and lots of intentional self love, including lots of time alone, to repair the deep wounds and rebuild trust in yourself, your intuition, your sense of worthiness, and confidence in yourself.

We have a choice to believe that we live in a benevolent universe here to help us grow and guide us to a place of peace and happiness. Or a hostile universe where nothing works and someone is out to get us. I have my days for sure, but overall I believe it's a benevolent universe and I'm looking and expecting to find the good in things moment to moment and do so every day.

What I share on this channel is meant to inspire, validate, and give hope to all who are healing from the damage of toxic relationships.

Over time, I've come to see that these people are my greatest teachers. They have pushed me to the edge and I've found the inner strength and resilience to continue to grow and become the best version of myself that I can be. Not gonna lie, it's been a long haul and sometimes ugly and exhausting. But the Truth always shines through and I find my way back on the path that makes me happiest and fills me with hope. Self development, inner growth, and anything that creates a greater understanding and compassion for myself and humankind.

It all starts with forgiving ourselves, acceptance, and forgiving others.
