Find courage to share your story and begin healing
Brenda Adelman returns with the second in her 2-part series. In part-1 we learned the unthinkable; her father killed Brenda's mother, and then he quickly moved in with and married her mother's sister.
Most of us would be paralyzed and curled in fetal position unsure of what to do after something so life-altering. It shook Brenda to her core and impacted her profoundly, but she came out of the darkness when she dared to share her story publicly.
In this episode, Brenda details how she was able to share her story, what she'd do differently, and what happened as a result of her finding the courage to do so.
If something BIG or profoundly transformational has happened to you and you've thought of sharing your story, she has tips about how to get started.
As she says, "There are skills to learn, rewrites to be done. It's not so sexy." But it can make a difference in the way the story impacts audiences and how YOU feel good about sharing it. She discusses how to gauge feelings to know whether you're ready to share or not or to write as a form of cathartic healing.
